Student Protection Scheme (SPS)

CaseTrust for Education requires the PEO to open a Student Tuition Account (ESCROW) with one of the CASE-endorsed banks and provide ALL International Students with a Student Protection Scheme (SPS).

SPS serves to protect students’ tuition fees in the event of:

  1. insolvency
  2. regulatory closure
  3. fails to pay penalties or return fees arising from judgements made against the school by Singapore courts

Students of Soh Hair Academy are protected by the Student Tuition fee Account (STFA) (ESCROW). The SPS is an optional choice for local students.

Fees such as examination fees, registration fees, tools, and material fees are not to be paid into (ESCROW).

All prospective students (International & Local) will enter into the Standard Student Contract with Soh Hair Academy upon confirmation.

Student Tuition Fee Account (STFA)
How does STFA work?

Soh Hair Academy has an Escrow account with DBS. An escrow account for Soh Hair Academy has been established under the name of DBS Nominees (Private) Limited. DBS Nominees (Private) Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of DBS Bank Limited.

Students will be paying their tuition fees directly into the STFA, which shall be held on trust by Soh Hair Academy for their benefit. DBS will release the tuition fees from the STFA to Soh Hair Academy’s operating account with DBS, based on a prescribed payment schedule: -

(a) Initial 30% of the tuition fees – to be paid by the 5th business day after commencement date of course; and

(b) Balance 70% of the tuition fees – to be paid in equal monthly installments over duration of course on the 1st day of each subsequent calendar month.
